My words aren't on my other device

Syncing needs you to be signed in on both devices, with the same Apple ID. Go to You → Sign in with Apple on each, then tap Sync now.

If the row says “This server is running an older version that can't sync”, that is our problem and not yours — please email us.

The browser extension says it isn't connected

Open Wordhoard on your phone, go to You → Connect a browser, and type the code into the extension. Codes last ten minutes and work once; if yours has expired, tap for a new one.

You need to be signed in on the phone first — the code is your account, so there has to be an account for it to point at.

I want to make flashcards for my child

On your phone: You → Sharing → Add someone. Type their name (that stays on your phone) and what they should call you (that is what the words are filed under on their phone). You'll get a code that lasts a day.

On theirs: You → Sharing → Someone gave you a code. They need Wordhoard installed and signed in.

Sending is part of Wordhoard Unlimited. Receiving is always free.

Someone is sending me words and I want them to stop

You → Sharing, find them under “Makes cards for you”, and tap Stop. It takes effect immediately, you do not need their agreement, and they are not told. Words already sent stay in your library and are yours to keep or delete.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Apple handles subscriptions, so it is done in iOS: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Wordhoard. We cannot cancel it from our end.

Refunds also go through Apple, at reportaproblem.apple.com.

I paid, but the app says I haven't

Tap Restore purchases on the Wordhoard Unlimited screen. If you bought it with a different Apple ID, or someone in your Family bought it, make sure the device is signed into the right account first.

A definition is wrong

Ordinary definitions come from Wiktionary, which anyone can correct — including you. Rewritten definitions are generated, and are occasionally wrong in the way generated text is. You can always tap a word and write the meaning yourself; what you type is what the card says.

Delete everything you have about me

You → Delete account, in the app. It removes your whole synced library, every sharing connection and your allowance counters from our server, immediately.

Your words stay on your phone — deleting the account does not delete your library. To remove that too, delete the app. Details in the privacy policy.
